Jaeger-LeCoultre is an excellent Swiss watch brand. They are regarded as one of the most respected, creative, and inventive watchmakers in the industry since 1833. Starting from 4500 euros the price of a new Jaeger-LeCoultre can cost up to 140000 euros. In terms of high-horology, JLC is considered a more prestigious brand. In terms of innovation, the brand created the series Futurematic in 1951 creating the world’s first 100% automatic watch, the caliber 497. This was a much more advanced watch made compared to the previous model. It also features a special 6-hour power reserve, allowing the watch to immediately function when it is put on, rather than requiring it to be wound first. The brand made a few more notable series like Reverso, Duoplan, Joaillerie, Atmos, Memovox, and a few more. They also have a famous series named Geophysics created in honor of the International Geophysical Year in 1958 which was protected against magnetic fields, water, and shocks. The concept was designed and proposed by long-time employee Jules-Cesar Savary as a watch intended for scientific bases in Antarctica. They also have a mark on the production of complicated watches also e.g. the master Gyrotourbillon 1. The watch is equipped with a tourbillon adjustable to the nearest second. The equipped tourbillon evolved in three dimensions to compensate for the effects of gravity in all positions. There are lots of celebrities who use this brand. Some of the celebrities are Leonardo Dicaprio, Benedict Cumberbatch, and Jay Z. Jaeger-LeCoultre, and the International Herald Tribune have joined forces with UNESCO’s World Heritage Centre in support of the World Heritage Marine Programme. So far, 46 sites have already been listed and protected. In addition, the company partnered with the Venice film festival to present the Jaeger-LeCoultre Glory to the Filmmaker Award. They are also teamed with Aston Martin.
