Vacheron Constantin is one of the oldest manufacturers of timepieces and is still in production since its inception in 1755. It’s a sister concern of the Swiss Richemont group. Some of the famous people who used to own their timepieces are Queen Elizabeth II, Pope Pius XI, Napoleon Bonaparte, William James, Diana Princess of Wales, Harry S.truman, and the Wright brothers. The brand is well famous for its expensive watches made with complications and luxury. Kallista, made by Vacheron Constantin, is one of the most expensive wristwatches in the world. Its initial price was $5 million, but in 2016 the watch was valued at about $11 million. Kallista had 118 emerald-cut diamonds. It took about 6000 hours for the watch master to make this watch which explains why the watch is very complex in terms of its function! However, it is still not a very complex watch at all. While marking the 260th anniversary the brand released the world’s most complicated mechanical watch which took eight years to build the 57-complication pocket watch at the request of a client. The estimated price of the watch was 24 million us dollars! With that amount of money, you can buy a private jet or at least 4-5 formula one cars! So, basically, the brand is famous for making complex mechanical timepieces for their A-rated client. Some of the notable models they have made so far are Overseas, Patrimony, Métiers d’Art.
